Welcome in you beautiful freaks. BadTasty is an independent game studio focused on the weird, quirky, and beautiful. My core aim is to explore different avenues of horror. This may be narrative-driven nightmares, hack-and-slash blood fests, or colourful weird action-packed madness.
I also freelance and co-develop with other developers and am keen to work on projects that excites me, with teams who inspire.

I'm excited to share that BadTastys first game is a 16-bit horror game for the SEGA Megadrive/Genesis + PC and modern consoles called "The Bagman"
Growing up I always wanted more horror games to play on the megadrive. I saw The Clock tower for the SNES and wanted an experience like that on the Megadrive, PC and other consoles. Crafting the game for retro hardware has led to a really beautiful 16-bit pixel asthetic that we have leaned into.

A new 16-bit horror game for PC, Sega Megadrive / Genesis, and other consoles.
-
It is inspired by 80s slasher horrors, survival horror games and point-and-clicks! Think Day of the Tentacle meets Alien Isolation and Friday the 13th films.
-
An unfolding slasher-packed narrative with point-and-click gameplay infused with more fast-paced stealth, action and gratuitous gore.
-
Events play out whether you are there or not - plenty to see, miss and catch through on subsequent playthroughs.
-
Can you and your friends survive? You can Issue commands to your friends, and hope they listen and hide. Multiple different endings depending on your choices and who survives.
-
Beautiful 16-bit pixel art.
-
New retro chip music inspired by classic horror films.
-
Run, Hide, Solve puzzles, or sacrifice your friends to escape? What would you do to survive...The BagMan.
It's early days yet, and this page will be updated as I get further along the development process!

Are you a Solo developer?
-
I handle most aspects of BadTasty myself, but I collaborate with freelancers when needed to advance areas where my skills are limited, or in many cases non-existent! So no, I'm not solo, although I mostly work alone! I do enjoy working with others when I can afford to do so.
